The Galaxy S7 Edge uses a built-in (non-removable) lithium-ion battery. Its capacity and charging features were designed to support the phone’s larger 5.5″ curved “Edge” display while still providing full-day use under typical conditions. It also supports wireless charging (Qi/PMA) in many markets as well as wired fast-charging capabilities.
